The following policies apply to all MOTORCOACH (BUS) packages, unless otherwise noted.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
BY THE CUSTOMER:
WITHOUT INSURANCE: If a reservation is cancelled more than 30 days before the tour departure date, a full refund will be granted (LESS insurance fee, if it has been purchased). If a reservation is cancelled within 30 days of departure, there will be NO REFUNDS or CREDITS issued - NO EXCEPTIONS.
WITH INSURANCE: If a reservation is cancelled MORE THAN TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS before departure, passengers with insurance are entitled to a FULL REFUND (LESS insurance fee), regardless of the reason for cancelling (i.e. illness, injury, family emergency, inclement weather prohibiting you from reaching your departure point, etc.). If a reservation is cancelled TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS OR LESS of departure, passengers with insurance are entitled to a FULL CREDIT (LESS insurance fee) to be used on a future tour. To cancel your reservation, please contact our office during regular business hours (NO EMAIL OR PHONE MESSAGE CANCELLATIONS).

BY YANKEE TRAILS:
In the event a tour is cancelled by Yankee Trails World Travel, a full refund or credit for a future tour is issued to the customer. Every effort will be made to notify customers prior to the date of departure, however we cannot guarantee this in events such as inclement weather legally prohibiting our buses from traveling on certain roadways. If we are forced to cancel a tour on the day of departure, we will make every attempt to notify passengers booked on that tour, and will update notifications on our website and automated phone message.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND our "Protect Your Buck" Cancellation Insurance, which can be added up until 30 days prior to departure. As stated above, if you decline the cancellation insurance, we will NOT be able to refund or credit ANY portion of your tour within the 30-day cancellation period. Please Note: the "Protect Your Buck" plan does NOT cover accidents or medical emergency costs incurred while on a tour, or cost increases due to roommate cancellations. The "Protect Your Buck" plan also does NOT apply to any air or cruise travel packages - such insurance plans are available at an additional cost and may be discussed with one of our Travel Agents when making your reservation. NOTE: Insurance rates based on "regular" sale price. In the event a tour is discounted, the insurance rate will remain the same.
During the reservation process, you will be asked whether or not you would like to purchase our "Protect Your Buck" Cancellation Insurance. If you decline, this will be noted on your reservation. The plan may NOT be added to your reservation within 30 days of the tour departure.
In fairness to all, choice of seats is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Passengers may not save seats for others boarding at a different location. On Multi-Day tours, seats may be rotated in accordance with a plan announced by the Tour Escort. If you require 2 seats, there will be an additional charge - please call for details. In order to insure traveling with your companion(s) on the same bus, it is recommended that you board at the same departure point. If not, there is a possibility that you may be on separate buses.
In accordance with the law and in the interest of the health and comfort of our passengers, we ask that no one smoke aboard the coach. On most of our tours we offer rest stops, coffee breaks and lunch stops, which give those who do smoke an opportunity to do so. Please check exact tour schedule for rest stop information.
Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages are permitted on the bus. Yankee Trails World Travel reserves the right to search ALL coolers, backpacks, bags, containers, etc. prior to and at ANY time during one of our tours. Any person found with alcoholic beverages onboard is subject to removal from the bus/tour - NO EXCEPTIONS OR REFUNDS.
Each passenger is permitted one large piece of luggage for storage in the compartment beneath the bus. A small overnight bag is also allowed, if carried by the passenger and stored in an overhead compartment on the bus. Every effort will be made to handle your baggage and personal belongings carefully. However, Yankee Trails World Travel cannot assume liability for loss or damaged property.
TRAVELING OUT OF THE COUNTRY
All United States citizens should have in their possession PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP when leaving the country, such as a certified birth certificate or passport or naturalization papers. Those persons who are not citizens must have necessary documents when leaving and returning to the United States.
CHANGE OF DEPARTURE
In the event you must change your boarding location (chosen at the time of reservation), please notify our office as soon as possible, preferrably no later than 2 weeks prior to your date of departure. Departure points CANNOT be changed on the day of departure.
Parking at all locations is at your own risk. Yankee Trails World Travel, as well as each departure location, cannot assume liability for loss or damaged personal property.
TAX AND GRATUITIES
The price for each of our motorcoach packages includes all gratuities for bellmen, doormen and dining room meals featured on the tour and all related taxes unless otherwise mentioned. Gratuities for guides, escorts, drivers, etc., are NOT included in the tour price. If you wish, such appreciation should be extended on an individual basis and NOT as a group, as you disembark the bus at the completion of the tour. The suggested gratuity throughout the industry is $2.00 per person per day, keeping in mind the gratuity should also reflect the job being performed.
The right is expressly reserved to withdraw any tour or make any changes therein, including substitution of accommodations, changes of itinerary, or transportation, with or without notice. Yankee Trails World Travel acts only in the capacity of agent for transportation companies in all matters relating to transportation, whether by bus, airplane, steamship, railroad, boat or any other means; and agent for travel service companies and other suppliers in all matters relating to arrangements or other tour components, such as hotel and/or motel accommodations, sight-seeing and related services, entertainment and other tour features. Yankee Trails World Travel, because of its status as an agent and because it maintains no control over the personal equipment or operations of these travel service suppliers, does not assume any responsibility for and cannot be held liable for any personal injury, property damage or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity from whatever cause during a trip. Yankee Trails World Travel recommends accident and baggage insurance. No carrier furnishing transportation in connection with any tour shall have or incur any responsibility or liability to any tour patron except its liability as a common carrier.

If you are securing reservations for passengers other than yourself, YOU are responsible for informing them of ALL Yankee Trails World Travel policies. When traveling with passengers who've booked separately, please notify our office at the time your reservation is made. A 10% discount is offered to groups of 10 OR MORE, but must be requested at the time of reservation (some restrictions apply/subject to change)
GOOD TRAVELERS CODE
Travel necessitates being good-natured, having a sense of humor, and requires an agreeable acceptance of situations as they occur, not as we might prefer them to be. A tolerance for changes will make your experience enjoyable for you and fellow travelers.
TRIPLE AND QUAD ACCOMMODATIONS
Triple and quad (4) acoommodations will have two (2) double/queen beds.
Cots will be made available at $15.00 per cot per night (subject to availability/change).
